Former Packers WR Equanimeous St. Brown catches TD pass in first game with Bears

Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown caught a touchdown pass in his first game with the Chicago Bears on Sunday at Soldier Field.

St. Brown, a sixth-round pick of the Packers in 2018, put the Bears up 13-10 over the San Francisco 49ers with an 18-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.

Over four seasons with the Packers, St. Brown caught 37 passes but scored just one touchdown. He left Green Bay as an unrestricted free agent following the 2021 season and signed with the Bears, following former Packers assistant coach Luke Getsy to Chicago.

On Sunday, Getsy dialed up a play-action pass, and Justin Fields found St. Brown in the end zone for the go-ahead score.

St. Brown’s only touchdown catch with the Packers came during the 2020 season. He produced nine catches for 98 yards without a touchdown over 13 games last season, his final in Green Bay.
