Former Ohio State receiver Parris Campbell signs in NFL free agency

NFL free agency has kicked off and one of the most exciting times of the year has some former Ohio State football players padding their bank accounts. One of the beautiful things about being a Buckeye football fan is that we follow alumni and former players with the same passion and fandom that we showed during their times in Columbus.

The most recent Buckeye to cash in this offseason is Parris Campbell, who signed with the New York Giants for a reported one-year deal worth $1.7 million.

Most Ohio State fans will remember Campbell as one of the most underrated receivers in recent history. He was All-Big Ten three seasons in a row before being selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts.

Campbell’s NFL career has been up and down. Most of those moments have been on the downside of the spectrum, although his injury struggles are a big reason. Campbell is signing a one-year “prove it” deal with the Giants and is hoping to bounce back for big money in 2024.

We’ll continue to keep track of all of the former Buckeye players and who signs where in our Former Ohio State football NFL free agency tracker.
