A couple days after former NFL cornerback Brandon Browner was arrested following a chase, police charged him with attempted murder.

Browner was charged with four felonies and two misdemeanors by the deputy district attorney, according to the La Verne (Calif.) Police Department, and the most serious charge is attempted murder. He was slated to be arraigned at Pomona Superior Court on Tuesday. According to KTLA in Los Angeles, Browner is accused of breaking into the home of a woman thought to be his ex-girlfriend and threatening to kill her.

Browner’s bail was set at $10 million and if he’s convicted he faces a maximum sentence of life in a state prison, TMZ said.

What is Browner charged with?

On Sunday, Browner was arrested after a chase in Azusa, Calif. On May 6, Browner was arrested for battery and child endangerment and pleaded no contest, according to TMZ. He was sentenced to probation, but TMZ said the court found Browner already had a probation violation, so he was ordered to serve 60 days in jail. He was released after two days due to overcrowding.

In his latest case, Browner is charged with attempted murder, robbery, burglary, false imprisonment and two counts of child endangerment.

Browner accused of breaking into woman’s house

According to KTLA, Browner is accused of breaking into the woman’s house and stealing a $20,000 Rolex watch. The woman had a restraining order against Browner but he broke into the home through a locked window, KTLA said.

Browner has had plenty of legal issues since his last NFL season, which was 2015 with the New Orleans Saints. Browner played five seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and Saints. He was a part of the 2013 Seahawks’ Super Bowl championship team (he was suspended by the NFL before the playoffs) and also the Patriots’ 2014 team that won a Super Bowl. Browner started Super Bowl XLIX for the Patriots. He made one Pro Bowl, with the Seahawks in 2011.
