The past couple years have brought about boxing matches no one expected, but this fight on the Jake Paul v. Tommy Fury undercard might take the cake.

Former Jets and future Hall of Fame running back Frank Gore has agreed to fight former Nets guard Deron Williams during the pay per view event at Amalie Arena in Tampa on Dec. 18, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Gore played just the 2020 season with the Jets, picking up 653 yards on 187 carries with two touchdowns. But his career, amassing 16,000 yards on the dot with 81 touchdowns since his 2005 rookie year, will have him in Canton one day.

But he's putting his athletic abilities up against Williams, who has been boxing since he retired from the NBA. He's another Tri-State area guy, having played a chunk of his career with the Nets.
