A day after the Georgia Bulldogs ended their 41-year drought in finally won a college football national championship, one of the veteran cornerbacks on the roster, Ameer Speed, has reportedly entered the transfer portal.

Speed has 5 years of college experience but is looking for a new place to spend his final year of eligibility after redshirting one season and being granted the additional COVID year as well.

This is big news for the Ducks, who are now home to former Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning. The Ducks have a need for depth at the CB position, and there is a good chance that Lanning can fill that need by bringing over a player that he knows well.

We will stay tuned over the next few weeks as Speed chooses his next destination.
