Former Gator could have been on cover of EA Sports’ college football game
A decade has passed since the last edition of one of EA Sports’ most popular football video game franchises with the return of the famous title set to return during the summer of 2024. Some believed it would arrive this summer but it was pushed back a year. Recently, it was reported that athletes who opt into the game will receive compensation to use their name, image, and likeness.
College Sports Wire’s Pat Conn took a look at the seasons since 2015 and came up with his year suggestions for the video game covers that never came to be. Among them is former Florida Gators tight end Kyle Pitts, who Conn submitted as an alternate for the 2021 season. Here is what he had to offer.
Talk about a matchup nightmare at the tight end position. Kyle Pitts was too fast for linebackers and two big for most defensive backs to deal with. Pitts finished with 17.9 yards per reception and 12 touchdowns. He was worthy of the honorable mention here.
No other former Gators made Conn’s list.
