After missing the bulk of the 2021 NFL season, Nate Gerry landed a free-agent deal with the San Francisco 49ers.

Now the former Eagles linebacker is on the open market again after being waived by the Niners per Adam Caplan.

Gerry, 26, his first four NFL seasons with the Eagles after being drafted in the fifth round out of the University of Nebraska.

A former safety turned linebacker, Gerry started 22 of the 46 games he played, and was limited to just seven games last year by an ankle injury he suffered in late October that landed him on Injured Reserve.
