In the video, @yzma1587 takes viewers step-by-step through her fudge-making process, perfected during her three years at Disney World.

After the footage went viral, the former Disney mom added her recipe and instructions in the comments:

  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk

  • 6 oz. semi-sweet milk chocolate chips

  • 7 oz. marshmallows

  • 1 tsp. vanilla

First, she starts out by spraying her pan and lining it with parchment or wax paper — cutting slits in all four corners (a trick she learned during her time making fudge at Disney World).

Next, she brings her butter, sugar and evaporated milk to a rolling boil. Once it’s reached a boil, she stirs it constantly for five minutes, being careful not to scrape the sides (to avoid making the fudge grainy).

After five minutes, she turns the heat to medium, adds in the chocolate chips, folds in the marshmallows, then pours in her vanilla.

Once it’s all mixed, she pours it into her lined pan and lets it cool — either at room temperature or in the fridge. The fudge will keep in an airtight container for two weeks.

For those viewers expecting an exact recipe of Disney’s fudge, @yzma1587 clarified, “Disney fudge was prepackaged, powdered ingredients [that] we added to melted butter in a kettle.”

She added, “I learned the skills of making fudge at Disney. This is a recipe my mom taught me.”

“This is the fudge I make as well, only with Fluff – totally switching the Fluff for marshmallows. Brilliant!” another user wrote.

“That wax paper tip changed my life,” commented one stunned user.

“Traditions can be wonderful. I’m happy you shared this,” a thankful user wrote.
