Former Chiefs guard Nick Allegretti signs with Commanders

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Another former Kansas City Chief has found a new home in free agency this offseason.

According to reports, Former Chiefs offensive guard Nick Allegretti has agreed to three-year, $16 million deal with the Washington Commanders.

Allegretti spent five seasons in Kansas City, where he was drafted by the team in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He made 13 starts while winning three Super Bowls

Most notably, the Illinois alum filled in admirably for Joe Thuney in the 2023 AFC Championship and Super Bowl LVIII after Thuney suffered a pectoral injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the postseason.
