Former Arkansas wideout Matt Landers signs with Seattle

Matt Landers spent just one year with Arkansas. It was an impressive year.

So impressive, in fact, Landers earned himself onto an NFL training camp roster. The former Razorbacks wide receiver signed a free-agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday.

The transfer from Toledo caught 47 passes for 901 yards and seven touchdowns for Arkansas last year. The latter two totals were the highest on the team. He transferred to Toledo after starting his career at Georgia, then finished his final season in Fayetteville.

At 6-4 and having run a 4.37-second 40-year dash, Landers’ athleticism was intriguging to several teams and he was considered a potential late-round pick. Landers will join former Toledo wideout Cody Thompson as part of the camp.
