Florida moves up to No. 6 in Week 6 D1Baseball rankings

Florida appeared destined to drop this week in the national rankings after a Tuesday loss to Jacksonville, but the Gators rallied over the weekend to take two out of three from the LSU Tigers, resulting in a two-spot jump to No. 6  on the Week 6 D1Baseball rankings.

The Gators have held top-10 status for the entire year, but shaky weekend results had them down to the No. 8 spot last week. The Gators face a week filled with top-25 opponents. UF plays No. 17 FSU in Jacksonville on Tuesday and then hosts No. 21 Mississippi State over the weekend.

Looking at the rest of the SEC, Arkansas is still at No. 1 despite a loss this week, Texas A&M moved back up to No. 4 and Tennessee rounds out the top 5. Vanderbilt and LSU in the Nos. 7 and 8 spots, respectively, make it five SEC teams in a row.

Alabama is ranked No. 16 this week, and Kentucky is finally ranked at No. 24 (at the expense of Auburn).
