Florida Highway Patrol: A Lehigh Acres man dies in ATV crash Sunday

A 24-year-old Lehigh Acres man and resident died after his ATV struck a mailbox, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver of the ATV was traveling on 30th Street SW shortly before 5:30 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle.

The man was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, where he was pronounced dead.

His next of kin have been notified. The crash remains under investigation.
