Florida football hosting blue-chip 2026 QB for Arkansas game

The Florida Gators hosted Jesuit (Tampa, Florida) quarterback Will Griffin about a month ago for the Vanderbilt game, and now he’s set to return for UF’s contest against Arkansas on Saturday, according to 247Sports.

Griffin spoke highly of the program following his last trip to Gainesville, but he’s stayed busy throughout the fall. Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma have all hosted him over the past few months, and he has an upcoming trip to Ohio State planned.

While he is a class of 2026 recruit, quarterbacks tend to get locked down much earlier than other positions, especially if they are highly ranked prospects.

Griffin is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports and Rivals. ESPN and On3 have not graded him yet, but the expectation is for Griffin to fight for a fifth star over his next three high school seasons. He’s already played 36 varsity contests — dating back to the seventh grade — and has thrown for 2,227 yards and 18 touchdowns through five games this year.

247Sports ranks him No. 60 overall in the class, No. 5 among quarterbacks and No. 8 among 2026s from the state of Florida.
