Florida baseball bounces back in USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll for Week 13

Florida baseball swept the previously fourth-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores at home in Condron Family Ballpark last weekend in the penultimate series of the 2023 regular season schedule. It turned out to be a big one for Kevin O’Sullivan’s squad.

Predictably, the Gators got a boost after taking three straight from their SEC rivals, moving up to No. 2 in the country — up from No. 5 last week —according to the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll for Week 13, which is the highest the Orange and Blue have climbed this season. The lowest Florida has been listed this season so far is No. 6, which came in Week 2 after starting in the preseason poll at No. 5; it had peaked previously at No. 3 prior to this week’s update.

UF is joined by fellow Southeastern Conference schools Arkansas (No. 3), LSU (No. 4), Vanderbilt (No. 6), South Carolina (No. 9), Tennessee Volunteers (No. 19) and Kentucky Wildcats (No. 20) in this week’s top 25.
