Five uncommitted 2023 recruits that are trending towards Texas

Texas couldn’t possibly get any hotter on the recruiting trail.

Following Arch Manning’s commitment to Texas, the Longhorns have managed to land eight talented recruits to their 2023 class. The recent slew of commitments is headlined by five-star safety Derek Williams, four-star offensive lineman Jaydon Chatman and four-star wide receiver Jonah Wilson.

It’s easy to see why highly rated 2023 prospects on the offensive side of the ball would want to come to Texas to play with Manning, but the success Steve Sarkisian’s staff is also finding on the defensive side of the ball is notable.

The Longhorns don’t appear to be slowing down any time soon, either. Texas is considered the favorite for several other blue chip recruits in the class that seemingly plan to announce their decisions in the near future.

Four-star running back Cedric Baxter Jr., who the Texas staff has a strong relationship with, set his commitment date for August 10. However, there’s four others who could pop any day now.

Take a look at the five 2023 recruits that Texas is seemingly trending for this week.
