Louisville turns it over on downs, Pack wins (11:40 p.m.)
Louisville's one last effort came up short as it turned it over on downs at the NC State 19 with 36 seconds left. The Pack went into victory formation to secure a 39-25 win and improve to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the ACC.
Pick six for Wolfpack erupts Carter-Finley (11:27 p.m.)
Louisville took over at its own 11 with 3:09 left with the potential to tie the game, but NC State redshirt junior linebacker Germaine Pratt intercepted Louisville junior quarterback Lamar Jackson at the 25 and returned it for a touchdown with 2:52 left in the game.
NC State leads 39-25.
Louisville stays alive with touchdown (11:17 p.m.)
Junior quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with sophomore Seth Dawkins on a 65-yard catch-and-run to the NC State 4, and two plays later Jackson ran it in from three yards out to cut NCSU's lead to 32-25 with 4:10 left in the game.
Senior defensive end Bradley Chubb blocked Louisville's extra point.
NC State answers right back with touchdown (10:56 p.m.)
After Louisville's touchdown, junior running back Nyheim Hines returned the kickoff to the Louisville 45, and on third and six, redshirt junior quarterback Ryan Finley found sophomore Kelvin Harmon for a 21-yard gain to the Louisville 3. One play later, junior running back Reggie Gallaspy ran for the touchdown.
NC State went for two, and Finley completed the pass to Hines to put NC State up 32-19 with 10:07 left.
Lamar Jackson show gets Louisville a touchdown (10:47 p.m.)
Behind the legs of junior quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Cards get a touchdown to cut NC State's lead to 24-19 with 12:39 left in the game. Jackson ran five times for 45 yards on the drive, including a four-yard score. He also completed a shovel pass to senior tight end Charles Standberry that went for 10 yards to the NC State 4 on third and five.
Louisville went for two, but Jackson's pass in the end zone to redshirt freshman Dez Fitzpatrick was incomplete.

Nyheim Hines carries NC State to touchdown (10:32 p.m.)
NC State junior Nyheim Hines caught an 11-yard pass, then ran for a 45-yard gain to the Louisville 16 and finished the drive with a 7-yard rush for his second running score of the game.
Earlier in the drive, redshirt junior quarterback Ryan Finley completed a 17-yard pass to sophomore wideout Kelvin Harmon on third and 15 to keep the chains moving. Both Harmon (five catches for 112 yard) and senior H-back Jaylen Samuels (seven catches for 104 yards) are over the century mark.
NC State leads 24-13 with 1:35 left in the third quarter.
Long field by Louisville cuts into NC State's lead (10:20 p.m.)
The Cardinals took advantage of NC State's missed field goal by chipping into the Wolfpack lead with a field goal of its own, a 48-yarder by sophomore Blanton Creque.
The Cardinals kicker set a new career-high with that kick and has made 14 in a row.
NC State leads 17-13 with 5:16 to go in the third quarter.
Missed field goal for NC State to start second half (10:13 p.m.)
NC State reached the Louisville 11 on its opening possession of the second half but went backwards on a couple of plays, resulting in fourth and 16 at the 17. Redshirt junior kicker Carson Wise then attempted a 35-yard field goal that missed wide left, leaving the score at 17-10 with 9:15 left in the third quarter.
Wise is now 6-10 on field goals this season.

Louisville gets field goal to end first half (9:40 p.m.)
Louisville sophomore kicker Blanton Creque's 28-yard field goal sailed through the uprights as time expired at the end of the first half, cutting NC State's lead to 17-10 at the break.
Second half will resume around 10 p.m. with NC State receiving the opening kick.
NC State gets another touchdown (9:26 p.m.)
Redshirt junior quarterback Ryan Finley found redshirt junior receiver Stephen Louis for a 39-yard gain to the Louisville 11, setting up junior running back Nyheim Hines rushing score on the next play to put NC State up 17-7 with 1:47 left in the first half.
Redshirt junior center Garrett Bradbury returned to the game after leaving for a chest X-ray.
NC State regains the lead with field goal (9:15 p.m.)
Wolfpack redshirt junior kicker Carson Wise's 21-yard field goal has put NC State back in front at 10-7 with 5:03 left in the first half.
NC State had a second big passing play to spark the drive. Redshirt junior quarterback Ryan Finley found senior H-back Jaylen Samuels for a 79-yard catch-and-run to the Louisville 8. On third and goal, Finley appeared to have found redshirt sophomore wide out Jakobi Meyers for a four-yard touchdown, but replays confirmed Meyers stepped out of bounds before making the reception, thus negating the score.
Louisville ties it up with touchdown (9:03 p.m.)
After converting a pair of third downs, Louisville struck with a touchdown, a 23-yard pass from junior quarterback Lamar Jackson to sophomore receiver Seth Dawkins, to tie the game at 7-7 with 7:27 left in the second quarter.
NC State redshirt junior center Garrett Bradbury has been taken for a chest X-ray, and his return is questionable.
Pack scores first with big-play touchdown (8:55 p.m.)
Redshirt junior quarterback Ryan Finley connected with sophomore wideout Kelvin Harmon for a 48-yard touchdown strike to put NC State up 7-0 with 11:47 left in the first half.
The scoring drive though came at a cost. Redshirt junior center Garrett Bradbury was helped off the field with an injury and replaced by redshirt freshman Joe Sculthorpe.

Pack turns it over in the red zone (8:15 p.m.)
After forcing a three-and-out on Louisville's opening possession, the Pack marched from its own 26 to the Louisville 10 for first and goal, but after two plays that went for no gain and a 3-yard loss, NCSU redshirt junior quarterback Ryan Finley fumbled on what appeared to be a play action pass. Louisville recovered at the 19 with 8:16 to go in the first quarter.
During the drive, NCSU redshirt junior left guard Terronne Prescod left the game for a play after getting banged up during a 30-yard pass from Finley to redshirt junior receiver Stephen Louis.

Pro scouts among many interested observers in Thursday's game (6:15 p.m.)
No. 24 NC State will host No. 17 Louisville in a prime time game on ESPN tonight. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. A full house is expected, including in the press box where up to 43 pro scouts have received credentials to check out the game.
