Final 2023 Pac-12 baseball standings
The USC Trojans were picked to finish 10th in the Pac-12 baseball standings in 2023. It was a natural, logical thing to do. It wasn’t even a sign of disrespect, merely a reflection of the program’s stagnation for several years. USC had not made the NCAA Baseball Tournament since 2015. The Trojans had fallen on hard times. They were bringing in a new coach, Andy Stankiewicz. Skepticism toward USC baseball was appropriate at the start of the season.
The Trojans had to prove they were for real before anyone predicted them to achieve more richly.
USC baseball has definitely done that, finishing in fourth place, six spots higher than the preseason forecast.
Let’s give you the full end-of-season Pac-12 Conference baseball standings. The top nine teams (Cal being ninth) qualified for the Pac-12 Tournament which starts on Tuesday in Scottsdale, Arizona. Check out the full tournament schedule for the coming week after you look at the standings below:
STANFORD: 23-7
The Cardinal will be a high seed in the NCAA Baseball Tournament and will host a regional in early June.
OREGON STATE: 18-12
The Beavers have the most wins of any Pac-12 team with 39.
WASHINGTON: 17-12
The Huskies, by finishing in the top three, will not have to play on Tuesday at the Pac-12 Tournament. Seeds 4-9 play on Tuesday, including No. 4 USC.
USC: 17-13
Andy Stankiewicz has done a remarkable job. If USC wins one game this week at the Pac-12 Tournament, it should be good to go for the NCAA Tournament. Two wins would make USC a lock.
ARIZONA STATE: 16-13
Arizona State is playing the Pac-12 Tournament close to its home campus, but Scottsdale Stadium is not the Sun Devils’ normal home ballfield. That’s Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
OREGON: 16-14
Follow Ducks Wire for coverage of Oregon at the Pac-12 Tournament and beyond.
UCLA: 12-16-1

ARIZONA: 12-18
The Wildcats play Arizona State in the first game of the Pac-12 Tournament on Tuesday in Scottsdale at 10 a.m. local time.
CALIFORNIA: 12-18
The Golden Bears were the last team to qualify for the Pac-12 Tournament, beating out 10th-place Washington State, which will sit home along with Utah. Those two teams’ seasons are over.
