Ryan Knaus dives into Minnesota Timberwolves G Patrick Beverley's all-around production and whether fantasy managers should roster him, despite how his stats look.

RYAN KNAUS: Patrick Beverley tends to elicit a shrug from most fantasy managers. That's evident in his roster rate on Yahoo, which is below 40% and bound to dip after recent DNPs due to groin soreness. His roster rate is low despite the fact that he's been a top 100 guy in nine cat leagues all season. Maybe his combative on-court nature rubs managers the wrong way, but statistically, there's not much to complain about.

The 33-year-old veteran is averaging 9.2 points, his highest since 2017, and he's always been a good rebounder. This season is no different, with 4.6 boards per game. He's swiping the ball once per game and is even blocking a career best 0.9 shots. That's tied with Lonzo Ball for the most blocks from a point guard this season. The real key is that Beverley has taken on more of a true facilitator role, resulting in a career high 5.2 assists per game. That's despite playing more minutes at shooting guard than ever before in his career. And according to Cleaning the Glass, the Wolves have been extraordinarily productive with Bev at the two. They've generated a plus 22 net rating, which is 99th percentile in the NBA. And their current starting lineup, with Bev alongside D'Angelo Russell, has been absolutely dominant.

The Wolves are winning with him in the lineup. So barring a trade deadline shakeup, it looks like Beverley will continue to be a pest, both in reality and to opposing fantasy managers.
