Fantasy football Week 11 waiver wire: Falcons' Brian Hill a top pickup

Darren Hartwell

It's time to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

Many fantasy football owners have three or four more weeks before their playoffs start, which means they have to push the right buttons to make a run at fantasy glory.

As we all know, fantasy success starts on the waiver wire, where free agents who can make an impact down the stretch are there for the taking.

Here are our fantasy football waiver wire adds for Week 11.

QUARTERBACK

Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders (owned in 45 percent of Yahoo! leagues): Carr continues to see plenty of volume in the passing game, and the winless Cincinnati Bengals have been a fantasy gold mine for opposing quarterbacks. The Raiders QB is your top streamer this week.

Other quarterbacks to target: Nick Foles (JAX), Kyle Allen (CAR), Sam Darnold (NYJ)

RUNNING BACK

Brian Hill, Atlanta Falcons (6 percent owned): Devonta Freeman sprained his foot in Week 10, which is bad news for Atlanta. But that's good news for Hill, who logged 20 carries Sunday and is in line to be the Falcons' workhorse running back in Week 11 with Freeman out. The Carolina Panthers have allowed a ton of fantasy points to opposing running backs, so Hill is a great streaming option this week.

Other running backs to target: J.D. McKissic (DET), Derrius Guice (WAS), Peyton Barber (TB)

WIDE RECEIVER

Hunter Renfrow, Oakland Raiders (10 percent owned): It's slim pickings for wide receivers on the waiver wire this week, but the Clemson product has 10 catches on 12 targets over his last two games and gets a plus matchup against the Bengals' awful secondary. Renfrow is a decent streaming option in PPR leagues.

Other wide receivers to target: Darius Slayton (NYG), Mecole Hardman (KC), Cole Beasley (BUF)

TIGHT END

Noah Fant, Denver Broncos (16 percent owned): Fant has helped fill Emmanuel Sanders' void in Denver with eight catches for 141 yards over his last two games. He gets a decent matchup against the Minnesota Vikings this week, so scoop up the rookie off his bye week while you can.

Other tight ends to target: Jack Doyle (IND), Jared Cook (NO)

DEFENSE

Oakland Raiders (5 percent owned): The Bengals are an abomination on offense, too. Their 18 turnovers through nine games are the fourth-most in the NFL. Oakland is coming off a strong defensive showing against the Los Angeles Chargers and should feast at home against the NFL's last remaining winless team.

Other defenses to target: Carolina (vs. ATL), Washington (vs. NYJ)
