Fantasy fallout of JK Dobbins knee injury

Yahoo Fantasy analyst Scott Pianowski examines the remaining fantasy options in Baltimore after the second-year running back suffered a major knee injury.

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: It's been a rough summer for young running backs. We've already lost Cam Akers. We've already lost Travis Etienne. And this weekend, sounds like we lost J.K. Dobbins. He suffered a left knee injury in Baltimore's final pre-season game, and the early reports is it's expected to be a season-ender. So what do we do with Gus Edwards? Of course we move him up on our fantasy boards, we know that. But let's remember that a lot of Baltimore's rushing production is going to be routed through Lamar Jackson. Gus Edwards only has a handful of catches in his NFL career. I think there will probably be a role carved out maybe for Justice Hill, maybe for Ty'son Williams, maybe Baltimore will make a trade for a running back or pick up somebody off waivers. Running back is the easiest plug-and-play position when you bring in talent from a different team. So I like Edwards, I'm gonna install him at running back 20 and half-point PPR, which makes him a solid running back two, somebody you could think about in round four, maybe even round five. They'll probably steer some work to another back, so it's probably a committee again in Baltimore.
