Fantasy Baseball pickups: Don't lose trust in Adam Jones
Just like that, the first round of action in the 2019 fantasy baseball season is in the books. You might still be feeling out the strengths and weaknesses of your team, but savvy fantasy players are always on the lookout for that waiver wire pickup who can provide a spark.
So with that said, fantasy baseball expert Andy Behrens has offered up a trio of pickup options to start the season.

First up is the no-longer-a-Baltimore-Oriole, Adam Jones. Andy thinks he’ll be “the usual Adam Jones” in Arizona. He’s only hit at the top of the batting order and cleanup thus far, which is also a plus. Next up is the multi-positional Ryan McMahon, who has shown legit power and can hit for average. Not to mention, he will get to call the bounty that is Coors Field his home. Finally, Andy makes the case for Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd, who is coming off 10 strikeouts in his first game of the 2019 season.
