After an offseason of big named additions on both sides of the football, the Eagles on Thursday announced a new wordmark the franchise will use on social media and all public materials in the future.
This Eagles head will remain the primary logo.
Social media and Twitter react to everything, and Thursday was no different with most responses having a negative tone.

The new look will appear on the uniforms in the future.
One note here: The new wordmark will not appear under the collar of the team's jerseys this season.
From my understanding, the 2024 season will be the earliest the wordmark change will be reflected on the jerseys based on the timeframe of uniform changes. https://t.co/03Io6ApAIt

New tattoos are in order.
The #Eagles have a new wordmark that’ll replace the previous one.
Bottom line: Fans are probably going to get new tattoos and such. pic.twitter.com/ZxRNrlEyXi

Hard to see the Eagles ever winning another Super Bowl with the new wordmark.
