Fans forgive Lorde for "disgusting" Whitney Houston bathtub joke

You Win Internet

#lordeisoverparty is trending on the internet thanks to an ill-received social media post from the singer. Yeah….. Whitney Houston fans are PO’d.

Lorde posted a photo on Instagram of a bathtub, and in the caption wrote lyrics to arguably Whitney Houston’s most famous song, I will always love you. The post was in pretty poor taste considering Houston died in a bathtub.

Some fans were quick to jump on Lorde’s case on social media, but Lorde quickly apologized. She wrote on Instagram, “extremely poorly chosen quote. I’m so sorry for offending anyone. I hadn’t even put this together, I was just excited to take a bath. I’m an idiot. Love Whitney forever and ever. Sorry again.”

Fans accepted her apology. Remember we said #lorde is over party is trending - well, fans are using it mockingly. Lorde’s party is definitely not over.
