Fan places monster wager on Kings to win it all this season originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Could this be the Kings’ year?

One enthusiastic NBA bettor seems to think so, placing a monster wager on Sacramento to win it all.

Caesars Sportsbook recently received a $10,000 bet on the Kings to win the 2023 NBA Finals that would command a payout of $7.5 million, per B/R Betting.

It's no secret Kings fans are feeling hopeful that their team could be in the hunt for a playoff spot this season under new coach Mike Brown and first-round draft pick Keegan Murray.

And with offseason additions like sharpshooter Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk, who is coming off a career year with the Los Angeles Lakers, there’s no reason why Sacramento can’t make a push to end their 16-year postseason drought.

But can they go all the way?

According to odds released by PointsBet, the Kings aren’t likely to win next year’s Finals -- but they aren’t the least likely. Sacramento’s odds are listed at +25000, as are the Washington Wizards’.

There are six teams with worse odds to win it all, according to PointsBet: the Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs are all listed at +50000.

Any Kings bet to win the title is relatively low-risk, high reward at such odds, but dropping $10,000 on Sacramento to win it all is certainly showing some faith in the roster general manager Monte McNair is building.

Now, the bettor just has to sit back and wait while the Kings do all they can to reach Finals glory.
