Falcons request interview with Bills interim OC Joe Brady, per report

All signs are pointing to the Atlanta Falcons hiring Bill Belichick as their next head coach, but the coaching search isn’t officially over just yet. On Friday morning, it was reported that the team is set to interview Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.

Atlanta was linked to another name on Friday afternoon. CBS Sports insider Jonathan Jones is reporting that the Falcons have requested permission to interview Buffalo Bills interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady for their head coach vacancy.

Brady previously interviewed for the team’s coaching vacancy in 2021, but Atlanta went with Arthur Smith instead. The 34-year-old was an offensive assistant for the New Orleans Saints from 2017-2018 before taking a job at LSU as a passing-game coordinator in 2020.

Following his one-year stint at LSU, Brady made the jump back to the NFL as the offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers from 2020-2021 but was fired late in the 2021 season.

Brady then took a job as the quarterbacks coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2022 and was later named the interim offensive coordinator when Ken Dorsey was fired midway through the 2023 season.
