Falcons are big underdogs ahead of Week 10 clash vs. Cowboys

After coming home from New Orleans with a win over the rival Saints in Week 9, the Falcons will travel Dallas for a clash with the 6-2 Cowboys in Week 10. Sitting at 4-4 on the season, the team has a chance to move above .500 for the first time since 2017.

The last time the Falcons were sitting at 4-4, they dropped their next five games to finish the year with a 7-9 record in 2018. While a loss wouldn’t end Atlanta’s season, a win could put the team in better playoff position and potentially back in the NFC South hunt, which appeared out of the question a few weeks ago.

Per the oddsmakers at Tipico Sportsbook, the Falcons are 8.5-point underdogs against the Cowboys in Week 10.

Against the Spread

  • Falcons: +8.5, -110 (Wager $110 to win $100; cash out: $210)

Money Line

  • Falcons: +310 (Wager $100 to win $310; cash out: $410)

Over/Under

  • Over: 54.5 points -112 (Wager $112 to win $100: cash out: $212)

  • Under: 54.5 points -108 (Wager $108 to win $100; cash out: $208)

Where to put your money in Week 2

  • Total score OVER 54.5: -112

This game will be a high-scoring affair and it’s possible that both teams eclipse the 30-point mark. The Falcons average 360 yards per game (17tth) whereas Dallas allows for 371.5 (21st). Additionally, the Cowboys have allowed 24 points per game this season.

  • Falcons MONEY LINE: +310

The Falcons are coming off an emotional win and are facing a Cowboys team that allowed 30 points at home against the Broncos a week ago. Dallas has yet to be punched in the mouth like that, so how Mike McCarthy’s team rebounds will be telling. However, the Falcons, who have a winning probability of 24 percent, aren’t a bad enough team to warrant this discrepancy. If the team can string together back-to-back quality offensive performances, then a win could be in store. Not to mention, that’s a hefty payout if the money line were to actually hit.
