The Rams have several players out and the Cardinals are favored. They should win.
We have predictions from me, Rams Wire managing editor Cameron DaSilva and also from the staff at AZCentral Sports in their preview video for Week 17.
Jess Root, Cards Wire: Cardinals 23, Rams 16
I actually think the Cardinals will steal this one. The playoffs are on the line and there are so many offensive weapons out for the Rams. I don't see how they can score much. However, I am worried about the offense being able to score much on the Rams' defense. I predict the Cardinals come away with a 23-16 win but both teams make the postseason because the Bears lose to the Packers.
Cameron DaSilva, Rams Wire: Cardinals 21, Rams 20
I think the Rams will be able to keep it close and potentially pull off the upset despite being short-handed on offense. Wolford’s mobility gives him a chance to succeed, and the Rams’ depth at wide receiver can help make up for the loss of Kupp. But in the end, Arizona will do just enough to pull of the win.
Bob McManaman, AZCentral Sports: Cardinals 20, Rams 13
If it was Jared Goff, I'd pick the Cardinals to lose this game. They haven't beat the Rams in seven straight. Now, this isn't the same Rams lately. They have only scored 30 points or more three times in wins. The Cardinals have done it seven times this year. I still think the Cardinals will win this game especially because of the mystery man John Wolford. I think they win because of this and this alone.
Kent Somers, AZCentral Sports: Rams 21, Cardinals 17
I've gone back and forth on this one. I keep thinking the Cardinals couldn't play that poorly two weeks in a row and then I think the Rams couldn't play that poorly three weeks in a row, lose to the Jets, Seahawks and then the Cardinals, and fall all the way out of the playoffs. I think the Rams are the team that is going to rebound. I think they are going to rally around the quarterback and I think they're going to win this with defense. I think they're going to throttle the Cardinals offense.
Katherine Fitzgerald, AZCentral Sports: Cardinals 24, Rams 21
What I see the most is heartbreak in the future of the Arizona Cardinals fans, but that is a matter of whether it happens this week or if they get everyone excited, make it to the playoffs and then just let everyone down next week. That has kind of been the vibe of Arizona sports teams for so long. I think they squeak this one out. I think it will be close.
