Seventeen spoke with Lauren about her partnership with Morphe, her favorite forms of self-care, and her skincare and makeup tips. Read on to see what the self-proclaimed "Skincare obsessed Latina" shared.

17: What inspired you to partner up with Morphe for this launch?

Lauren Giraldo: I've been using Morphe forever — seriously since they came out. They were still known as Morphe Brushes when I started using them. Seeing the brand evolve and work with influencers, it was always something that I wanted to do, but I was always like, ‘Oh, I don't know if I'm big enough. I don't know if I'll get to that point.’ But it was always a goal for me. So when they said, "Do you want to be the face of this launch?" I was like, "Do I? I've been manifesting this, absolutely. I want to do it." It just made so much sense for me to do it. I got to be the face for the Glowstunner Hydrating Tinted Moisturizer because I just love skincare. I prefer skincare over makeup half the time, especially in the summer. I just fell in love with this product.

LG: The wear on Glowstunner is super sheer and natural-looking, but it'll still give you a good amount of coverage and protection in the sun. My favorite thing about it is that it doesn't perform like a foundation in terms of it feeling like it's melting; [foundations] can get patchy and melty when it's hot out. Glowstunner is literally made for the sun. So that's why I'm just like, all in with it as a Miami girl in Arizona. I will say that I've tried Glowstunner on the treadmill while doing [my 12-3-30 workout] and it lasted. I was so surprised!

What I appreciate about Glowstunner too, is that it's buildable, so some days if I really just want to vlog and I want to just look a little bit more awake, I'll do one layer. But other days, if I want to do three layers and build an entire look around it, I can do that too. SPF is built in there, so I don't even have to remember that step. It also doesn't smell, which I love.

17: What’s something you wish you knew about skincare and makeup when you were younger?

LG: I feel like this is obvious, but really the SPF. I really wish I gave more attention to that when I was growing up in Miami. I would always think my mom was being so annoying when she was like, "Let me spray you!" And I'd tell her to leave me alone. But now, SPF is my biggest thing — even body SPF. I feel like it’s so easy to forget body SPF, but meanwhile, your arms are like disintegrating while you're driving in the car.

17: You’re so passionate about promoting healthy habits and being transparent about your lifestyle online. While glowing skin is a goal for so many people, glowing from within in terms of mental health and taking time for yourself is equally as important. What would you say is your favorite practice of self-care?

LG: My favorite, and I think the most essential part of my whole routine, is my morning meditation. I was never a big meditator until probably last year. It's one of those things that once you start, you realize the importance of it. Before you meditate, it's like, "Oh, I don't meditate. I'm totally fine." But now that it's part of my routine, if I skip it for two days, I'm a whole mess. It's super, super helpful in getting me aligned with my end goals and starting my day off to remind myself of things like gratitude, goals, and visualizing myself in the next 10 years. It will kind of just put everything into perspective for me in terms of the day-to-day, and it'll remove the smaller issues that come up. It'll be easier to say "This is not a big deal. Let me continue to stand in the line of who I'm committed to being in the future."
