What, exactly, is the Boston Celtics style of play called ‘Mazzulla ball’?

We hear about it when the Boston Celtics are putting up historic offensive numbers, and we hear about it when they are choking late in games they ought to be winning even without historic levels of offense.

But what, exactly, is “Mazzulla ball,” the 3-pointer heavy style of play named after and favored by Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla?
