Ex-Caps coach Todd Reirden's house listed for sale originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Todd Reirden spent the past two seasons trying to guide the Washington Capitals back to another title. Although the Caps won the Metro Division both years under his leadership, early playoff exits in back-to-back season made retaining Reirden untenable. His tenure as head coach ended August 23, 2020.
Eight days later, Reirden placed his six-bed, eight-bath, 4,060 square foot home in Falls Church, VA on the market with a $2.25 million dollar price tag.
Wasting no time exiting the District, Reirden leaves behind an enviable spread that includes all the requisite amenities for any sports fanatic.
The 1997-built house sits on 2.32 acres only 15 minutes from Amazon HQ2 and includes an 800 square foot heated pool, a custom stone poolside cabana house and a covered, outdoor kitchen & bar, each equipped with plasma TVs. In addition, there are multiple indoor entertaining spaces, an exercise studio/game room, and a walk-in wine cellar that can hold hundreds of bottles.
Before arriving to the three car attached garage bay that can house any combination of vehicles with an extended driveway pad outside for a boat, one will also notice the grounds include built-in, automated lighting and underground irrigation sprinkler systems. Plush!
