Everything we know following No. 9 Oregon’s 80-63 loss to No. 1 South Carolina
No Nyara Sabally, no Te-Hina Paopao and no Endyia Rogers equaled not enough physicality or firepower to compete with the No. 1 team in the nation.
Oregon struggled in nearly every phase of the game as the No. 9 Ducks suffered their first loss of the year, an 80-63 defeat to South Carolina.
Although they were playing extremely short-handed, the Ducks played very hard for the entire 40 minutes of action and made the final tally more than respectable.
Now the Ducks will turn their focus on coming home with the third-place trophy of the Battle 4 Atlantis as Oregon faces South Florida Monday morning.

Keys to the game
After a rough first half that saw South Carolina grab a 44-26 halftime lead, the Ducks made some adjustments and outscored the Gamecocks 37-36 in the second half.
South Carolina used their height advantage with an absent Nyara Sabally to outrebound the Ducks 41-30.
Finding open shots was a problem the entire game as Oregon was just 3-of-6 from three-point land.
