It was not a good day for the Detroit Lions defense in Green Bay in Week 2. They were not the only ones who did not have their “A” game in Lambeau Field. The FOX broadcast crew also had a rough afternoon.
The injury carts rolled out twice in three plays and the 49ers lost a few more key players. Raheem Mostert ran for an 80-yard touchdown on San Francisco's first play from scrimmage and Jimmy Garoppolo threw two TD passes - before both players sat out the second half with injuries - to lead the banged-up 49ers to a 31-13 victory Sunday. It was a costly victory for San Francisco, which was already hurting in a big way before losing Garoppolo to a high ankle sprain and Mostert to an injured knee.

Danny Lee withdrew after a third-round 78 at the 120th U.S. Open, citing a wrist injury. But it wasn't a pained shot from Winged Foot's luscious rough that appeared to be the catalyst for the WD. Lee was 3 over par for the round, facing a 4-foot par putt on the par-4 18th to finish the day.
Much has been said this week about Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians publicly criticizing quarterback Tom Brady for his performance in his first game with the team. A former long-time NFL assistant coach has offered a different potential source of criticism for Bruce Arians: Bruce Arians himself. “You wanna blame somebody, blame yourself because your team was outcoached,” Rob Ryan said on Sky Sports' Inside the Huddle.
Phillies lose the game and maybe (hold your breath) Bryce Harper originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia The Phillies may have lost more than an important game on Sunday. They may have lost an important player, too. Bryce Harper left the 6-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays with an injury in the seventh inning.
Vikings' Kirk Cousins awful vs. Colts originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington Sunday has simply not been Kirk Cousins' day. The Vikings passer has been unable to get Minnesota's offense in a rhythm all afternoon long, as they have totaled just three points through the game's first three quarters. Both Minnesota and Indianapolis entered Sunday's matchup desperate for a victory and to avoid the dreadful 0-2 start.

Danny Lee has withdrawn from the U.S. Open, and it wasn't a particularly pretty end at Winged Foot Golf Club. Lee, the 30-year-old from New Zealand, managed to hold it together moderately well through the start of the day. He was 3 over through five holes but logged his first birdie at No.
Novak Djokovic knows it isn't model behavior when he loses his cool on the tennis court. Exactly two weeks after he was defaulted from the U.S. Open, and a day after he was warned by the chair umpire for breaking his racket in a fit of rage, Djokovic received an obscenity warning midway through a 7-5, 6-3 win over Casper Ruud in the Italian Open semifinals Sunday. The obscenity came in the third game of the second set, by which time Djokovic had a running dialogue with the chair umpire over a series of contested calls.

The sack was Pittsburgh's seventh of the day.

Bryson DeChambeau and Matthew Wolff matched eagles on the ninth hole in the U.S. Open to separate themselves from the rest of the field as they made the turn. DeChambeau rolled in a 40-footer on the 556-yard par 5 to drop to 5 under for the tournament. But Wolff kept pace minutes later with a 10-foot eagle putt.
