'If ever there was a time to win against France, this is it'

We asked for your views on Scotland's team to take on France this weekend.

Here's a taste of what you had to say...

Darwin: Why risk Darge when he's probably not 100% and possibly risk losing him for the rest of the championship? We do have a number of very good back rows and Christie is chomping at the bit. There is also Hamish Watson, who will also be chomping at the bit!

John: Good to see Darge return. Matt Fagerson is lucky to be there and Christie may take his place if he fails to perform at a high level. I saw little from Rowe last week that would justify his retention. Sad that Kinghorn is still injured.

Dave: Not sure what Johnny Matthews has to do to get a chance, good to see Christie on the bench at least as Ritchie hasn't been at his best recently. Would prefer Young as the second row option as Skinner wasn't good last week but he does cover two positions. Backs as expected, hope Horne can run at the French forwards from 55 mins or so. Hope is building...

Gareth: Best available team to take on a gargantuan French pack, if we can move them around a bit and tire them out and start solidly, can see an upset for sure. Will the French really want to play in the rain in a cold and miserable Murrayfield? Only time will tell, Darge a huge addition to shore up the breakdown. Starting front row need to play 70+ mins.

Gordon: A predictable selection but I’m wondering what Christie has to do to get a start and I still think Redpath outside Russell with Tuipulotu outside him is a better option.

Andy: I think Richie Gray is a huge loss. Without him we will struggle to get consistent line out ball. I would love to have seen Johnny Matthews on the bench ahead of Ashman. Praying for a low penalty count and a Scottish win.

MoLambo: If ever there was a time to win against France, this is it. A solid and largely cohesive team, less the 30 minute aberration in Cardiff last week. Andy Christie’s inclusion indicates the arm wrestle we all know this to be. Back line are the same, welcome news for supporters and Kyle Rowe, who had a good match last week. Enough to win? Hope so!
