The Giants had a real shot at getting their first win of the season yesterday.
They held a 14-3 lead after the first quarter, stuck with the Cowboys down the stretch after they came back, and saw Dak Prescott exit the game with a gruesome ankle injury.
And yet the Giants find themselves at 0-5 after a Dallas field goal in the final seconds of the game, and are now at the bottom of a terrible division that has become the laughing stock of the NFL.
According to Evan Engram, the Giants are not happy with where they are at.
"Definitely disappointed, definitely pissed off," Engram said on how the Giants feel after Sunday's loss. "We fought our butts off yesterday and didn't come up on the winning end, so we're pissed off and we're hungry. We're going to get right back to work to try and go get one."
Engram scored a touchdown in the first quarter, but the Giants got outscored 34-20 in the final three to let one of their best shots at a win slip through their fingers.
With Washington next on the schedule and their quarterback situation uncertain, the Giants could nab their first win and keep themselves in the conversation for home playoff game — an insane thought for a team currently 0-5.
