ESPN Host Ryen Russillo Arrested After Getting Drunk and Entering a Stranger’s Bedroom, Police Say

Hey, it could be worse — at least Ryen Russillo isn’t also the name of a Confederate general

ESPN’s Ryen Russillo was arrested early Wednesday, after allegedly getting drunk and entering a stranger’s bedroom, police in Jackson, Wyoming, told TheWrap.

Police responded at approximately 3:30 a.m. to a report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave a residence, according to the department. Police said the victims stated that an unknown male was in their home and directed officers to him.

” Officers found the suspect, later identified as 42 year old Ryen August Russillo, lying on the bed in the south bedroom. Russillo had blood shot glassy eyes, very slurred speech and could not answer questions coherently; all signs of alcohol intoxication,” police said. “He did not seem to know where he was and could not answer questions as to where he was staying.”

Russillo, host of ESPN’s “The Russillo Show,” appeared not to have entered the residence forcefully but rather through a door that had not been properly secured.

Nonetheless, because he had allegedly entered the residence illegally and refused to leave when asked, he was placed in custody on a criminal trespass charge, a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $750.

An ESPN spokesperson tells TheWrap the network is investigating the matter.
