The Philadelphia 76ers have gotten off to a great start to begin the 2021-22 season as they are 8-2 and sitting atop of the Eastern Conference despite missing a lot of key pieces.

They have won six in a row despite Tobias Harris, Isaiah Joe, and Matisse Thybulle being in the health and safety protocols. On top of that, they have not had Danny Green either due to left hamstring tightness and the Sixers have still ripped off six wins in a row.

As they enter a new week, they have found out that Joel Embiid has now entered the protocols and he could miss some time so Philadelphia will have to deal with even more adversity. However, as they lean on Tyrese Maxey, Shake Milton, and Seth Curry, they will look to continue to find a way to get wins.

In a new edition of Power Rankings from ESPN, they have the Sixers coming in ranked No. 1 thanks to their recent play amid the adversity:

When Tobias Harris got yanked off the court minutes before tipoff Monday night due to the league’s health and safety protocols, an ugly week appeared to be in store for Philly. Instead, the 76ers ripped off four straight wins and have the East’s best record. It’s been an impressive stretch to begin the season for a team with plenty of chaos surrounding it.

The Sixers will look to piece it all together again when they host the New York Knicks on Monday to begin a 3-game homestand.
