Auburn may be battling some serious injuries right now, but ESPN’s Football Power Index likes the Tigers’ chances against South Carolina later this weekend.

Auburn has a 76.1% chance to beat the Gamecocks later this weekend. This is not in line with what oddsmakers are saying right now, which is that South Carolina is going to make this game interesting.

Think about it. Auburn with a backup quarterback. On the road. At night. The offensive struggles may be real in this one. What is worse, is even if Auburn does get into Gamecocks territory, even a field goal isn’t certain because Anders Carlson is out for the season as well.

I hope ESPN’s FPI is onto something because I am not confident at all about this weekend.
