ESPN’s College GameDay makes its picks for Clemson vs. Louisville

ESPN’s College GameDay crew made their picks for No.10 Clemson’s home matchup with Louisville in Death Valley this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Swinney and the Tigers are coming off a tough loss to Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and will look to bounce back at home against a hot Louisville team. Louisville starting quarterback Malik Cunningham is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the country, and it should be a good test for the Tigers.

Though the Tigers 8-1 (6-0 ACC) are the favorites for this matchup, the College GameDay guys were fairly split on their choices for who will win this ACC battle.

Here’s a look at Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, and Pat McAfee’s picks for Clemson vs. Louisville:

Desmond Howard: Clemson

“Louisville’s been up and down, so I can’t really trust Louisville. I think that Clemson’s gonna bounce back, an embarrassing loss a week ago in South Bend to Notre Dame… So, I’m going with Clemson to bounce back.”

Kirk Herbstreit: Clemson

Syndication: The Knoxville News-Sentinel

“Because Rece picked Louisville here, I definitely like Clemson back in Death Valley to take care of business. Defensively, it’s all about trying to contain Malik Cunningham’s big-play ability. If they do that, they pull away in grand fashion.”

Pat McAfee: Louisville

Syndication: The Greenville News

“Because Rece picked Louisville here, I definitely like Clemson back in Death Valley to take care of business. Defensively, it’s all about trying to contain Malik Cunningham’s big-play ability. If they do that, they pull away in grand fashion.”
