Erika Brown wins second medal at Tokyo Olympics

Former Lady Vols’ swimmer Erika Brown won her second medal of the Tokyo Olympics Saturday, earning silver as a member of the United States’ 4×100-meter medley relay team.

Brown also won bronze in the women’s 100-meter freestyle relay in Tokyo, Japan.

Brown competed for Tennessee from 2017-20. During her time with the Lady Vols, she earned 21 All-America certificates and 23 Southeastern Conference medals, including 18 gold, two silver and three bronze.

In 2019-20, she helped the Lady Vols win its first-ever SEC championship and was the league’s Female Swimmer of the Meet at the conference championships.

In Saturday’s race, Team USA posted a time of 3 minutes, 51.73 seconds, finishing second to Australia, which set an Olympic record with a mark of 3:51.60.
