Eminem has teamed up with Snoop Dogg for a powerhouse hip-hop partnership — while hinting at a new album on deck.

“From the D 2 to the LBC,” a nod to Eminem’s hometown of Detroit and Snoop’s of Long Beach, California, hit streaming services overnight Friday, accompanied by a video that finds the two rappers morphing into animated Bored Ape-style characters.

“It’s been a minute. This probably should have happened a while ago,” Eminem says to introduce the song. He and Snoop have appeared on record together before, but Friday’s single is their first head-to-head duet collaboration.

Both spit rapid-fire rhymes in the 3½-minute track, which was produced by Eminem and features his longtime musical partner Luis Resto on piano. The song’s chorus features a pair of area-code shoutouts:

“Put your doobies high if you reside in 213, let's see them blunts raised. Whether you east side or west side of the 313, let's see them guns blaze.”

The video, directed by James Larese, was partially filmed in metro Detroit, with Eminem appearing at his Effigy Studio in Ferndale.

"From the D 2 the LBC" follows Em and Snoop's appearance with Dr. Dre at the Super Bowl halftime show in February.

And it’s the second new Eminem single this month, following the release of “The King and I” (with CeeLo Green) from the new “Elvis” film soundtrack.

It all appears to be building up to a potential sequel to Em’s 2005 hits compilation “Curtain Call.” The rapper’s social media posts unveiling Friday’s song and video include the hashtag #curtaincall2.

Friday's release is the latest rubbing of elbows dating back 23 years: Snoop was among the guests on “Bitch Please II” from Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP,” released in 2000. That same year, they toured together as part of the Up in Smoke Tour.
