Elkhart County Miracle release new name, promotion for June 6 opener.

Mar. 25—The Elkhart County Miracle will be going by a different name in their home opener this season.

Preparing for its encore season, the Miracle will be known as the "White Rumps" when they open up their home schedule on June 6. Their season begins on the road on May 27.

What is being promoted as "One Buck Night" when the Rumps face the Griffith Generals, was created to honor the Native American reference to the hind of the Elk which is characterized by a lighter fur.

The Miracle will don the one-time name and will wear jerseys themed with the animal. Hot dogs, popcorn and admission will go for "one buck each."

The Miracle will begin their season on the road on May 27, playing Southland Vikings in Hammond. The full schedule and individual home game tickets will be released on Monday, April 1 on the team's website. The new home of the Miracle will be the at the Elkhart Athletic Complex inside American Park.
