Elite recruits visiting UGA for Arkansas game

A bunch of elite high school football recruits are planning to attend the Arkansas at Georgia game. The contest is set for an early kickoff at noon, but Sanford Stadium should be rocking.

Kirby Smart and Georgia football currently have more elite talent lined up for the future. In fact, Georgia has top-five ranked recruiting classes for 2022 and 2023.

Some fans at home will be relieved to know that Arch Manning is not among the recruits attending the game, so those watching on TV may actually hear commentary that’s focused on the game between the No. 11 and No. 2 teams in the country.

Here’s some of the top recruits who are planning to attend the Georgia versus Arkansas game:

Safety Kamari Wilson

No. 1 safety prospect, Kamari Wilson, has ranked the Georgia Bulldogs among his top 6 schools. Wilson is one of the numerous talented prospects on a stacked roster at IMG Academy. He will be at the UGA game on Oct. 2 against Arkansas.

Wilson, a member of the class of 2022, is a five-star recruit.

Athlete Joenel Aguero

Joenel Aguero will play in the Under Armour All-America Game following his senior season. Aguero is ranked as a five-star athlete. He is returning to Athens for another visit after coming to UGA this summer.

Aguero is a member of the class of 2023, so he’s a junior in high school. Before joining IMG Academy this year, Aguero played football for St. John’s Prep.

Defensive lineman Justin Benton

Georgia Bulldogs recruiting target Justin Benton visited Athens on June 10. Now, the four-star defensive lineman will be back for the Arkansas game along with many of his IMG Academy teammates.

Benton is favored to attend the University of Georgia. Benton is a junior with a big 6-foot-1, 265-pound frame.

Offensive lineman Daniel Calhoun

Daniel Calhoun is a member of the class of 2024. He’s got good length and size. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound athlete is ranked as a four-star prospect.

The talented lineman plays football for Centennial High School in Roswell, Georgia. He plans to be at UGA versus Arkansas.

Florida commitment Julian Humphrey

Four-star Florida Gators commitment Julian Humphrey plans to be in Athens, Georgia, for the Arkansas game. Humphrey, an elite cornerback recruit, plays football for Clear Lake in Houston, Texas. He’s taking an official visit.

Defensive end Shemar Stewart

Five-star defensive end prospect Shemar Stewart has to love how UGA’s defense has played to start the 2021 college football season. Stewart plans to be in Athens for the Georgia versus Arkansas game. UGA, Miami, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oregon are among Stewart’s top-five schools.
