LeBron James reacts to presidential race being called for Biden by trolling Trump on Twitter

The fifth day of counting votes finally resulted in the call LeBron James has been waiting for.

The Associated Press called the presidential race Saturday morning for Democratic challenger Joe Biden over President Donald Trump, after determining Biden wouldn’t be caught in Pennsylvania.

James immediately celebrated the news on Twitter, including a meme of his iconic Game 7 block against Andre Iguodala from the 2016 NBA Finals, only with Biden and Trump’s faces superimposed.

James trolled Trump with a photo of himself smoking a cigar as an NBA champion. He tagged More Than A Vote, his initiative that promoted voting in Black communities and fought to stop voter suppression.

It also comes days after Trump supporters chanted that James “sucks” at a rally.

James followed it up by sharing a tweet from award-winning director Ava DuVernay using President Trump’s famous line.

Athletes, including James, have taken a special interest in this election and their activism has helped thousands register to vote and participate in their democracy. The four-time NBA champion started More Than A Vote in June after seeing the long lines for primaries in Georgia that were primarily in areas dominated by Black residents.

Fellow stars joined the initiative and it focused on addressing Black voter suppression, voting safely during the COVID-19 pandemic and educating voters on misinformation campaigns.

James later quote tweeted a CNN clip.

And Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green gave James another uplifting remark: maybe he could visit the White House now.
