Huang “Minn” Minmin, previously a member of EDward Gaming’s youth training squad, will join the main League of Legends Pro League team, according to their official weibo.

EDward Gaming already has started two different top laners in the first week of the LPL, Tong “Koro1” Yang and Chen “Mouse” Yuhao. Both top laners also played in the 2016 World Championship, but drew criticism from fans for poor performances. Mouse has played tanks almost exclusively, while Koro1 showed more flexibility with the Jayce pick in Week 1.

Minn is 18 years old, but accomplished on the Ionian ranked server in China. According to EDward Gaming’s statement, his strong performances in training exercises has prompted staff to move him to the main team. EDward Gaming hopes that he will complement the existing roster and develop as the team continues to progress in the 2017 season.
