Eastern Michigan women's basketball cancels next two games, including at Michigan

The Eastern Michigan women's basketball program has paused its schedule, canceling its next two games.

The school announced Thursday that the team would not play Saturday's game at IUPUI and Wednesday's game at Michigan.

EMU said that because those games are so close to the start of the Mid-American Conference schedule, the games will not be made up.

The Eagles had six games postponed last season due to COVID-19 issues. The school did not give a reason for the latest stoppage in play.

EMU is 3-4 to start this season. It's next scheduled game is Dec. 29 against Bowling Green in Ypsilanti.
