East coast Notre Dame commitment recruiting potential local teammate

·1 min read

Last month the Irish received a commitment from defensive lineman Boubacar Traore and it was a very solid commitment although a bit light on the verbal offers. The Massachusetts star is trying to get another east coast prospect to join him in South Bend.

Traore teamed up with Notre Dame’s social media team and targeted Maryland defensive end Devan Houstan as a player he’d like to join forces with. Houstan is a solid player as well, a six-foot-four-inch and 270-pound imposing presence that is set to make his verbal commitment this coming Saturday, May 7th on CBS Sports HQ. It seems like Traore might be on to something that we don’t know yet.

If Houstan was to commit to the Irish this weekend, he would be the twelfth verbal pledge to a class that many view as on of the best in the country. Stay tuned to Fighting Irish Wire as we bring you the latest on Houstan’s status.
