Early Pickups for Week 7

Liz Loza offers two options for early pickups ahead of Week 7 action.

LIZ LOZA: We are heading into week 7, and we have six teams on bye. And with that, we have three elite quarterbacks unavailable for fantasy managers. No Justin Herbert. No Josh Allen. No Dak Prescott.

So how about we find a quarterback on the waiver wire, and how about that guy be Tua Tagovailoa? Right now, he's rostered in just 16% of leagues. He returned from that rib injury in week 6 and completed 70% of his passes for 329 yards and two touchdowns.

He did throw a pick, but he managed all of that production without DeVante Parker, Will Fuller, or Preston Williams in the lineup. And while it is weird he's drawing any sort of match-up in week 7 coming off of a London game, at least the one he gets is generous. He's playing the Falcons at home.

Now the Falcons are among the five most generous defenses to opposing quarterbacks. They've also only recorded one interception and nine sacks on the season. So if you need a bye week fill-in, may I suggest Tua.

How about a rookie wide receiver? I mean, yes, week 6 brought the debut of first round pick out of Minnesota Rashod Bateman to Baltimore. Now, this game was a little bit weird, and game flow allowed for the Ravens to continue running the ball. So Bateman didn't see a ton of production.

Though it is worth mentioning that he was tied for first in team targets with Mark Andrews. He converted four of six looks for 29 yards. He is available in over 70% of leagues and might be a nice wide receiver 3 or flex option because I only expect his role to grow.
