An early look at 2024 recruiting rankings: Luke Fickell’s first full recruiting cycle

There is a long way to go in the class of 2024 recruitment process, but the Badgers have already made a few splashes.

The biggest get of the Luke Fickell 2024 class so far was four-star quarterback Mabrey Mettauer. The four-star prospect currently stars at The Woodlands High School in Texas.

Per his Twitter commitment post, he is looking forward to playing in the Air Raid offense with new offensive coordinator Phil Longo and staff.

Mettauer is one of three commits in this early stage of the 2024 class. He is the lone four-star commit so far for the Badgers in Fickell’s first full recruiting cycle at Wisconsin.

USC Trojans

USC currently has one four-star commit in the class of 2024 as tight end Joey Olson chose the Trojans.

Iowa Hawkeyes

Iowa has one four-star commit and five three-star commits in 2024.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas has four-star defensive lineman Kavion Henderson locked in for 2024.

Colorado Buffaloes

Coach Prime has a pair of four-stars locked in for 2024.

Ole Miss Rebels

Texas Tech has a pair of four-stars and five three-stars in 2024.

Wisconsin Badgers

The Badgers have four-star tight end Grant Stec along with Mettauer.

Penn State Nittany Lions

The Nittany Lions have a pair of players committed in 2024, including four-star offensive lineman Cooper Cousins.

Texas A&M Aggies

Texas A&M has a pair of four-stars and a pair of three-stars locked in.

Texas Longhorns

Texas has a pair of players locked in for 2024. Four-star athlete Hunter Moddon leads the way.

Auburn Tigers

Auburn has three four-star commits and a new head coach in Hugh Freeze.

Clemson Tigers

Clemson has four four-star commits in 2024. Four-star tight end Christian Bentancur leads the way in the class.

Notre Dame is constantly in recruiting battles with Wisconsin, and is off to a good start in 2024 with six four-star commits.

Florida Gators

The Gators have five-star quarterback DJ Lagaway at the top of their 2024 class.

Ohio State Buckeyes

It’s not surprising to see Ohio State near the top of the list. Their class is headlined by five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.

Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama is the only team with two five-star commits at this stage. Their class is led by five-star quarterback Julian Sayin.

Georgia Bulldogs
