Eagles sign Jack Anderson from Bills practice squad
The Buffalo Bills have lost offensive lineman Jack Anderson from their practice squad on Tuesday. According to Anderson’s agent, the Philadelphia Eagles signed him off of Buffalo’s practice squad:

Anderson, a rookie, was the Bills’ seventh-round draft pick at the 2021 NFL draft. During the preseason, Anderson was playing a depth role along Buffalo’s offensive line at guard.
Despite that status, Pro Football Focus was fond of his play. PFF announced their best and worst grades for every NFL team’s draft class during the preseason when it concluded.
For the Bills, Anderson was their top-graded player with a mark of 75.7 overall.
To an extent, Buffalo also held Anderson in a good regard as well. For the first two weeks of the season, the Bills placed Anderson on the protected portion of their practice squad for both games.
However, once a game concludes, players are no long protected until they’re placed on that designation for a team’s upcoming game. Essentially there’s a small window, usually from postgame on Sunday to Tuesday, where players can be signed.
That’s the timeframe the Eagles nabbed Anderson.
Without Anderson, the Bills now have an opening on their practice squad.
