Eagles share Jeffrey Lurie’s phone call informing Nick Sirianni he was new head coach

The Eagles are entering a new era in the franchise’s storied history and on Sunday, the organization announced the hiring of Nick Sirianni as the new head coach.

In what could be described as a first, the Eagles have shared the audio of the moment Lurie called Sirianni to offer the head coaching job.

Taking a page from the NFL draft format, Lurie appears to have Sirianni on speakerphone when the rest of Philadelphia’s front office personnel.

An excited Sirianni seems at a loss for words before eventually accepting the job.

Lurie went on to tell Sirianni that he was joining the best fanbase in America, while also harping on the coach that he is currently and the great coach he can become.
